Libraries are doing more for our communities today than ever before. Our Library offers what you would expect: materials such as books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, music CDs, videos, online resources, and ebooks. Plus you’ll find exciting free programs for all ages: story times, book discussion groups for adults and teens, a teen advisory board, game nights for families and millennials, art, music and science programs, safe driver classes, and more.

Thanks to our Foundation supporters, you can now find more quiet study rooms, collaborative spaces, and meeting rooms for clubs and organizations. Renovations in 2017 have improved the whole library building. Local history projects are helping preserve North Aurora’s past for future generations. In 2017, the Library will celebrated a milestone 80 years of community engagement.

As we prepare to close 2017, the Library has our generous donors to thank for their support. With your year-end gift to the library, the Foundation can fund new projects, collections and facility improvements. Will you make a gift to the library this year?

Monetary gifts, bequests, endowments and memorial or honorary contributions benefit the library by providing diverse revenue sources and are most useful when unrestricted.  The Library holds a 501 C (3) tax exemption through its Messenger Public Library of North Aurora Foundation Fund within the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley (http://www.communityfoundationfrv.org/). Gifts made directly to this fund should be directed to the MPL Development Fund.  (More information about donating to this fund may be obtained from the library administrator).  Donated funds are used to purchase materials in accordance with collection development policies or to expand service and program offerings to the residents of North Aurora.
