Class Visits
A Messenger librarian can drop by your classroom to talk about public libraries, present a storytime, give booktalks to increase interest in suggested titles, or demonstrate online research resources or ebooks.
Call Ahead Checkout
Call or email us with a topic and we can pull a selection of books and DVDs for you. Just visit the Youth Services desk to pick up your items and check them out with your personal library card. You can register your card from any Illinois public library so you can check out at Messenger!
Library Tours
Bring your class to visit the library! We can tour the library, talk about getting a library card, present stories, recommend books, introduce research topics, and design a visit to suit class needs.
Customized Book Recommendations and Bibliographies
We can create brochures full of recommended books and resources on the topic of your choosing.

Send us information about projects so we can better help your students find the materials they need. Fill out the online request form with the grade and project topics or call us at 630-801-4340.
