Knit or crochet hat this winter, to be donated to a local charity. Stop by the adult Help Desk starting November 1 to pick up supplies and patterns. Please bring completed hats back to the library by December 30.
Is there a pattern for the hats?
The library has yarn kits available for either knitting or crocheting hats. Included in each kit is a pattern or multiple sized versions of each hat. Please return unused yarn and needles to the library when you turn in your hat. If you prefer, you may use your own pattern and/or yarn.
What yarns and colors should I use?
If you would like to make additional hats with your own materials, any soft yarn is fine and any color will be accepted. Stripes or multi-colored yarn is acceptable.
When does the library need my donation?
Place hats in a plastic zip-lock or drawstring bag and return to the Help Desk. Please bring completed hats back along with any checked out kits to the Adult Services Help Desk by December 30.
