Welcome to the Tiny Sculpture Art Show! This program celebrates creativity in miniature form, featuring sculptures displayed in the library for all to enjoy. Whether you are a seasoned artist or just starting out, this is an opportunity to share your work with others in our community. We encourage artists of all ages and experience levels to participate.
How to participate:
- Starting March 22, you can “check out” a kit from the Adult Services Help Desk or the Youth Services Desk depending on your age group. Kits will be available while supplies last.
- This year the kits are NOT grab and go due to number of kits available. Checking the kits out via registration helps us track how many sculptures to expect and allocate space for the Tiny Art Show.
- The kit is not required: homemade and DIY sculptures may be submitted.
Artwork Guidelines
- One entry per person, all ages welcome.
- Art must be dropped off at the library by April 18.
- Sculptures must be no larger than 5 inches in any direction (height, width, and depth).
- Use any materials you like (e.g., clay, metal, wood, stone, found objects, paper, etc.), as long as the piece is sturdy and safe for display. No food.
- Sculptures should be lightweight and not pose a risk of falling or breaking easily. Ensure all sharp or delicate edges can be handled safely.
- Artwork and the titles of the artwork must be appropriate for all ages.
- Library staff reserves the right to reject any art that does not follow these guidelines.
Tiny Art Exhibit and Reception
- The Tiny Sculpture Art Show will be open for viewing in our display case from April 18-29. Please visit the library during this time to admire the other sculptures!
- Voting will run April 22-29. QR codes and paper slips will be available at the display. One per person.
- Join us for a special reception on April 29 from 6-7:30 pm at the library to view the sculptures, chat with the artists, and enjoy light refreshments.
After the exhibition ends on April 29, participants may pick up their sculptures from the library by May 3. Any uncollected sculptures after May 3 will be donated or discarded, so please make sure to retrieve your work!
