Library Assistant 1: User Services

Messenger Public Library of North Aurora is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated applicant who can provide innovative library services in our newly-renovated user services department. Our library strives to be a welcoming center for our community and we have combined our main service areas to provide a more user-focused experience. Library Assistants in user services are involved in all aspects of circulation of materials; user account registration and services; assisting users with technology; and other public service activities including catalog and reader’s advisory assistance.

Starting pay: $10.21 per hour. Flexible schedule needed, 16 to 20 hours per week, (non-exempt) including weekends (Saturday 8:30-5:00, Sunday 12:30-5:00) and weekday evening and daytime shifts (Mon-Thurs 8:30-9:00, Friday 8:30-5:00).
